Rim the glass: Squeeze red decorating gel around the rim of a cocktail glass to create a dripping effect.
Add the ingredients: Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice and pour in the cranberry-cherry juice, black cherry rum, grenadine and lime juice.
Stir the cocktail: Stir well until the mixture is fully chilled and blended.
Strain and serve: Strain into the decorated glass and garnish with vampire teeth if using.

Substitutions and Variations
Use a different rum: Swap in spiced rum or plain white rum with a splash of cherry syrup.
Make it alcohol free: Skip the rum and use cherry soda or more cranberry juice.
Change the juice: Pomegranate or blood orange juice can work for a new flavor.
Add fizz: Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda for a bubbly twist.

Serving Suggestions
With savory Halloween bites: Add mini charcuterie boards, a spider pizza and skull potatoes to your buffet spread.
With sweet treats: Pair them with Halloween bark, Halloween Rice Krispie treats, candy apples, and boozy dirt cups.

How to Store Rum Cocktail for Halloween
Store: I recommend making these when you’re ready to serve them, although you can store leftovers for a couple of days (without the ice).
Freeze: I don’t recommend freezing this.

Top Tips
Make it ahead: Mix the cocktail (without ice) and chill it until ready to serve.
Be generous with the gel: Let it drip unevenly for the best creepy effect.
Use a chilled glass: A cold glass keeps the drink refreshing longer.
Strain well: Avoid watery cocktails by straining out excess melted ice.

Halloween Rum Cocktail FAQs
No, but the gel adds the creepy visual that really sells the Halloween theme.
Absolutely! That way anyone who isn’t drinking or any kids at the Halloween party can enjoy it too. Simply omit the black cherry rum and replace it with more of the cranberry cherry cocktail (or whichever juice mix you’re using). The same applies with regard to mixing the cocktail, serving it and making it ahead. And it will still look and taste great!

Cranberry juice is my favourite and I also love dark rum, so this cocktail was a perfect pick for me and I knew before I made it that it would be so good, and it was! And it’s easy as well which is always a plus.
So fun with the fake vampire teeth accent
