Peach Banana Pineapple Smoothie Ingredients
A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
Fruit: Peach slices, banana, orange, and pineapple chunks add lots of fabulous fruity flavors (plus those all-important nutrients). Use ripe banana and soft, ripe peach for the best flavor and texture.
Pineapple juice: To thin the smoothie to the perfect consistency.
Ice: To make it refreshing. Either add a few ice cubes to the smoothie in the blender or pour the finished smoothie over ice if you prefer.

Substitutions and Variations
Different fruit: Anything goes when making fruit smoothies. Just a few ideas to consider are apples, pears, kiwi, lime, apricot, and strawberries. The same applies to the pineapple juice, as you can swap it for orange juice, apple juice or any other kind.
Canned pineapple: You can use canned pineapple in its own juice instead of using fresh or frozen pineapple and a separate pineapple juice.
Thicken it up: If you prefer a thicker smoothie, reduce the amount of pineapple juice. You can achieve your desired consistency by using less or more liquid.
Add veggies: Throw in kale, spinach or your preferred dark leafy greens to boost the nutrients even more.
Make it sweeter: I find the natural sweetness is a good fit for my palate but you can sweeten it further with added sugar, maple syrup or your preferred sweetener. I know some people like their smoothies super sweet but others like theirs unsweetened (and that’s the great thing about making your own!)
Add some milk: Anything goes – dairy milk, oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, or anything else you like.
Add some coconut: Swap some (or all) of the pineapple juice for coconut milk or coconut water. You could even add a little coconut oil for healthy fats.
Add protein: Include a scoop of protein powder. I like vanilla protein powder.
Frozen fruit: Frozen peaches, frozen banana and frozen pineapple work just as well as fresh and also mean you don’t have to add ice.
Optional add-ins: Throw in anything else you like such as canned fruit, vanilla extract, chia seeds or hemp seeds, or even collagen peptides or your preferred supplements!
Serving Suggestions
With breakfast or brunch: Healthy smoothie recipes (or a smoothie bowl) is a wonderful start to the day. This peach pineapple smoothie recipe contrasts beautifully with savory dishes such as breakfast burritos, bacon and sheet pan eggs or even breakfast lasagna.
As an afternoon pick-me-up: Enjoy it with some blueberry pie cookies.
For dessert: Add a scoop of your favorite ice cream and it becomes an indulgent dessert!
How to Store a Peach Smoothie
Store: This smoothie is best served immediately for the freshest flavor. If you have any leftover smoothie though, you can cover and refrigerate it for up to a day, giving it a good shake to re-mix the ingredients that might have separated.
Freeze: Because this recipe only takes a few minutes to whip up and tastes so much better fresh, I wouldn’t freeze it personally.
Top Tips
Use a reliable blender: You can use frozen fruit instead of fresh and the difference should be minimal. Just ensure you have a high speed blender that’s strong enough to handle ice and frozen fruit. Most of them can these days, but maybe try a little in there first to make sure! (This brand is great!)
A pineapple garnish: If you’re using fresh pineapple, you can even serve this smoothie in the hollowed out pineapple fruit shell. That looks so tropical and fun!
Peach skin: Peel your peach if you wish but you can also leave the skin on if you prefer. The blender will get the skin into tiny pieces and that way you’re enjoying extra nutrients in the smoothie.
Pineapple Peach Smoothie FAQs
A smoothie is typically defined as a fruit and/or vegetable mixture pureed to beverage consistency. The liquid in there can be water, juice, milk, yogurt, or ice cream. Other additions might include sweeteners, whey powder, nutrient mixtures, and more. A milkshake is a dairy-based milk drink, and a juice is usually just pure juice. There are some crossovers though, and this smoothie recipe could also be called a juice drink. But what’s important isn’t what you call it but how good it tastes!
Health food stores in the California area began to sell smoothies in the 1930s. This is when they were associated with the invention of the first electric blenders. The word ‘smoothie’ wasn’t really used until the mid-1980s though.
