Waffle Bowl Brownie Sundae FAQs

Can I make these ahead?

You can make them ahead although the waffle cones will go soggy over time. The toppings shouldn’t be added until just before serving. Give them 10 seconds or so in the microwave to soften the brownie filling again before serving.

Why do I have to wrap the waffle bowls in foil?

This serves two purposes: it helps the waffle bowls keep their shape and also stops the outside rim from burning. By the way, if any of the waffle bowls in the box are cracked or broken, save them for another use. If you try to use them in this recipe, the batter will leak through the crack or hole and they won’t look as pretty!

What are some good toppings?

You can add any toppings you want, such as chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream, strawberry sorbet, sprinkles, mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, and chopped candy pieces. Hot fudge or caramel sauce on top is also delicious.
