A different protein: Try chopped chicken breast or chicken thighs in place of the beef.
Herbs: Swap the Italian seasoning for fresh herbs like fresh parsley, chives, dill weed, or thyme.
Spice them up: Add extra red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce.

How to Store Steak Bites
Store: Keep leftover garlic steak bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator and eat within 3 days.
Freeze: You can freeze these in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
Thaw: Defrost it in the refrigerator overnight.
Reheat: You can warm the steak bites back up in a skillet with a little butter. Alternatively, you can enjoy them cold.
Top Tips
Chill the steak before cutting: Place the steak in the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing it up (it is easier to slice this way).
Bring the steak cubes to room temperature: Adding them to the skillet too cold can make them “seize up” and not get as tender.
Use a sharp knife: A sharp knife achieves nice, tidy steak cubes.
The best skillet: Using a stainless steel or cast iron skillet will give a nice sear on the steak.
Get the oil hot: The oil must be hot before adding the meat, to ensure it doesn’t overcook and to get a head start on that wonderfully crisp sear.
Don’t crowd the pan: Cook steak in batches. Overcrowding the pan will make the steak steam rather than sear (and you won’t get that wonderful crispy crust!)
Easy Garlic Butter Steak Bites FAQs
Buy steak with good marbling on it. I like to use New York strip steak, sirloin or ribeye for this recipe but beef tenderloin is also good. Filet mignon or flank steak would work too but this lean cut should be cooked to medium rare or below to keep it juicy.
Searing the steak for 2 minutes on each side will produce medium rare steak bites. If you would rather have them more done, add another minute or 2 to the cooking time.
Try to cut the steak into 1-inch cubes. That way, they’ll cook evenly in the pan and it also means each piece can be enjoyed in one bite. If you cut your steak bites smaller, you’ll need to reduce the cooking time since they’ll cook faster.
