- 1 Cup sugar cubes, white or brown
- 1 Bottle Cabernet Sauvignon, 750ml
- 12 to 15 Slices dried orange
- 8 to 12 Slices dried blood orange
- 15 to 18 Slices dried apple
- ½ Cup dried cranberries, optional
- 4 Sticks cinnamon
- 2 Miniatures Whiskey, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Apple, 100ml bottles
To Make the Sangria
- 1 Liter club soda, or sparkling water, 2 Pints, chilled
- 1 to 2 Cups orange juice, optional
- ice, as needed
Optional Garnishes
- orange slices, fresh
- cranberries, fresh
- rosemary sprigs
Instructions
- Begin with a clean and completely dry dispenser.
- Create the base by carefully pouring the sugar cubes into the bottom.
- Stand the bottle of wine in the center of the sugar cubes.
- Arrange the dried apple, orange and blood orange slices in the space around the wine bottle.
- Using tongs can help with precise placement.
- Once the slices are in place, slide the wooden spoon in gently alongside the bottle.
- Nestle the 2 minatures of apple whiskey into the remaining gaps on top of the fruit.
- Finally, add the dried cranberries, if using, and cinnamon sticks on the top.
- Print the recipe tag and tie around the dispenser with ribbon or twine.
To Make the Sangria
- Remove the wine, whiskey and wooden spoons from the dispenser,
- Pour all the wine and apple whiskey over the fruit and sugar.
