Ingredients for Oreo Chocolate Chips Cookies

The ingredients you need for these are Oreo cookies, frozen cookie dough balls, salted butter, sour cream, semi sweet chocolate chip, egg and vanilla extract. The vanilla extract is optional but it does add a lovely vanilla flavor to the finished cookies. The cookie dough balls are made using a bag of chocolate chip cookie dough mix (here).

Chop the Oreos:  Chop the Oreo cookies roughly with a knife or smash them into smithereens using a mallet or similar (it’s up to you how fine you want the Oreo pieces or crumbs!)
Combine the cookie dough ingredients: Mix the chocolate chip cookie dough or unbaked cookie dough balls with the softened butter and egg, then add the sour cream and vanilla extract.
Add more ingredients: Next, mix in the chocolate chips as well as half the chopped or crushed Oreos.
Divide up the cookie dough: Drop heaped tablespoons using a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop (here) of the cookie dough on to a parchment paper lined baking sheet or cookie sheet, pressing more chopped Oreo pieces into each one.
Bake the cookies: Preheat oven and cook for about 12 minutes or until the middles are set and the edges are firm.
Let them cool: Give the cookies about 10 minutes on a wire rack to cool, then serve and enjoy.
