How to Make Ham Steaks on a Sheet Pan
For more detailed instructions with weights and measurements, jump to the printable recipe card.
Cook the potatoes: Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper, and bake on a greased sheet pan for 20 minutes.
Make the Dijon mustard sauce: Whisk the mustard with the honey, vinegar, rosemary, and garlic in a small bowl.
Add the ham steaks to the prepared baking sheet: Push the potatoes over and overlap the ham steaks on the sheet pan, before brushing the honey mustard sauce on top.
Add the green beans, and continue to cook: Gently toss the green beans with olive oil, salt and pepper, and add those to the sheet pan next to the ham steaks. Cook until tender and serve immediately while still hot.
Substitutions and Variations
Green beans: Swap the green beans for another vegetable if you prefer.
Seasonings: You might also like to add a pinch of onion powder or fresh minced garlic in place of the garlic powder to the sauce you brush on to the ham.
Fresh herbs: Fresh thyme would work in place of the rosemary, or even a pinch each of dried thyme and dried rosemary.
Baby potatoes: You might want to try sweet potatoes instead of, or as well as, the baby potatoes.
Serving Suggestions
Appetizers: Enjoy one of these Italian appetizers to start.
Side dishes: This sheet pan ham dinner is a complete meal already, since you have meat, potatoes and vegetables but there’s no reason you can’t offer more side dishes if you wish. Add a slice of pineapple on top of the ham, or pair a slice of cranberry galette and cranberry brie bites with the meal.
For dessert: Finish up with Nutella mousse cups. If you’re cooking up a storm for a party, how about offering some apple pie jello shots?
How to Store Leftover Ham, Potatoes and Green Beans
Store: Got leftovers? This one-pan holiday meal will keep for 3 or 4 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Freeze: Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
Thaw: Thaw the leftovers in the fridge overnight and then reheat in the oven, microwave or air fryer.
Top Tips
Uniform sized potatoes: Cut the potatoes into more or less even-sized pieces so they all cook at the same rate.
Use more than 1 baking sheet: Unless you have a huge baking sheet, you’ll be better off using 2 or 3.
Check for doneness: When you can pierce the potatoes easily with a fork, everything should be done.
One Pan Easter Dinner FAQs
Try broccoli, zucchini, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, peeled carrots, or a combination of veggies.
You can use a baking sheet or roasting tin instead of a sheet pan. Anything with a rim will work, but you do need some kind of rim to stop the juices from dripping over the edges of the pan.

This sheet pan ham dinner was a lifesaver on a busy weeknight. So quick and tasty!
I made this yesterday and my family loved it! So easy to make and flavorful! Yum yum!
My kids loved this recipe. I make it for dinner at least once a week.
Will be making this again soon. Family devoured it.
This is a brilliant recipe for making on those busy weeknights and I have a lot of those. I made this once as it is and the second time using sweet potatoes instead of the baby ones, and both ways are really good.
