This frozen lemonade recipe is traditionally from the Middle East. In fact the name ‘limonana’ is a combination of lemon (limon) and mint (nana) in Arabic and Hebrew.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup mint
  • 1 Cup water 
  • 3 1/2 Cup ice

Instructions

  • In the glass of a high powered blender add the lemon juice, sugar, mint and water. Pulse until everything is well incorporated.  
  • Add the ice and continue pulsing until fully crushed.  
  • Pour into 4 glasses and garnish with lemon slices or mint sprigs.

  • If you want a more tart lemonade you can use ½ Cup lemon juice and ¼ Cup lime juice. You might need to bump up the sugar and add 2 tbsp more.
