I don’t know about you, but I can’t get too far into my day without having breakfast. Especially on school days…I get a headache and want to curl up in a ball. I don’t think I could ever sit through the morning of lectures on Starbucks alone! This oatmeal breakfast bowl is quick, yummy and it will keep you full until lunch. I love my oatmeal! ❤
Quaker® Oats are the perfect base for your breakfast bowl. My favourite are the instant oats because I can literally make my breakfast in less than 5 minutes. When I was asked to share a “Bring Your Best Bowl” recipe made with Quaker® Oats, I knew exactly what I would make. This oatmeal breakfast bowl is packed with super foods, which I can only hope will make me super smart so I can get good grades this semester. 🙂
Anything goes for toppings on your oatmeal because it goes with absolutely everything! For this oatmeal breakfast bowl, I chose dried berries, nuts, seeds, toasted coconut and peanut butter. This is a perfect winter bowl since fresh berries are so expensive and hard to find. There are no excuses because these are all items that you can easily find at stores like Target. Stock up your pantry with a variety of toppings and create a different bowl every day. They are yummy in your tummy!

- 1/2 cup Quaker® Instant Oats
- 1 cup low fat milk or almond milk
- 1Tbsp chia seeds
- Dash of cinnamon
- Freeze dried raspberries
- Freeze dried strawberries
- Dried cherries
- Dried goji berries
- Pistachios, shelled
- Pumpkin seeds
- Chia seeds
- Roasted coconut chips
- Peanut Butter
- Combine milk, chia seeds, cinnamon and Quaker® Instant Oats in a microwave safe bowl.
- Microwave for 1.5 to 2 minutes. Stir
- Add toppings in desired quantities on top of the cooked oatmeal. You can arrange neatly or just throw it on.
