Honey and peanut butter flavoured whiskey are the inspiration behind these amazing whiskey honeyed peanut butter shots. They’re satisfying enough for a shot or unique enough for a boozy mini-dessert.
Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey Shots Ingredients
You will be in peanut butter heaven when you taste this honey flavoured whiskey shot. Add honey and milk into the mix and you can expect creamy, rich-tasting dessert shots. Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients you need to make this Skrewball peanut butter whiskey drink.
First you need to make honey peanut syrup and that calls for sugar, peanut butter, honey, salt, and water. Feel free to use any kind of creamy butter you happen to love – anything from Jif to the grocery store brand to the 100% nut-only kind will work here.
The same applies to the honey, and if you’re vegan or making this for vegans, you can even use a vegan honey alternative and get the same flavour. That’s the great thing about recipes like this one. You can substitute other ingredients and still end up with a delicious result.
How to Make Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Shots
Are you ready to put these sweet honey whiskey and peanut shots together? You’ll love how easy the recipe is.
The first step is to prepare the honey peanut syrup. Put the sugar, peanut butter, honey, and water in a pan and whisk. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes then let it cool completely before use.
Next you can make the whiskey honeyed peanut butter shots. Put some peanut butter in a Ziploc bag and snip the corner off, then pipe it into shot glasses. Now dip the glass into chopped nuts to cover the peanut butter.
Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with ice. Add the milk, salt, honey flavoured whiskey, peanut butter whiskey and the syrup you made. Shake well then pour the peanut butter shots into the nut-garnished shot glasses. Now all you have to do is serve them and enjoy!
Preparing the Dessert Shots Ahead
If you want to make the syrup ahead, that’s fine and it will keep for up to a week as long as you keep it refrigerated and in a sealed container. Since the oils will naturally float up to the top you will need to give it a good shake or stir before using.
You can even make the peanut butter flavoured whiskey shots ahead without the ice and keep them for a couple of days in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Again, make sure you mix them well before serving because the ingredients do separate over time. These are the small bottles I used for shot glasses.
Whiskey Honeyed Peanut Butter Shots FAQs
Yes you can! Try almond, cashew or oat milk in place of the milk and you should get a very similar result.
Don’t throw out unused honey-peanut butter syrup. You can use it to sweeten lattes or drizzle it over your next batch of pancakes. Try it slathered over cinnamon rolls. There are plenty more possibilities too – let me know if you come up with some!
This skrewball peanut butter whiskey shot is great whenever you have a get-together of any kind. It’s also special enough for a seasonal treat before a meal.
