Nourishing Blue Smoothie Bowl


As a Millennial, I am required to love smoothie bowls or else I have to turn in my Millennial card. Haha, just kidding. But hey, I can’t help it that they are so tasty, healthy, and Insta-worthy! They are very much my thing. The best thing about smoothie bowls (in my opinion) is decorating them and creating a magical unicorn blue smoothie bowl like this one! Although the pictures you can take of these bowls can be most beautiful photos on the web, this bowl full of healthy ingredients makes my blue smoothie bowl truly worth creating. This magical unicorn blue smoothie is made with some yummy stuff that is great for your body likeeee…..

Bananas – They are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, calcium, manganese, magnesium, iron, folate, niacin, riboflavin (that’s a fun word, right?), and B6. They are great to keep you full longer which is always nice if you are a snack loving person! 

Pineapples – They are good for the immune system support, bone strength and digestion. Plus they are anti-inflammatory.  

Peaches  – They are full of  calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, phosphorous, and zinc.  

Blue Spirulina – This is a great source of protein and an excellent source of vitamins A, K1, K2, B12 and iron, manganese, and chromium.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tsp. blue spirulina
  • 2 Frozen bananas
  • 1 Cup frozen peaches
  • 1/4 Cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 Cup almond milk (or more depending on the thickness you want)
    Toppings:
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Frozen Blackberries
  • Cocoa nibs
  • Banana, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a blender, mix frozen bananas and almond milk.
  2. Add the pineapple and peaches. Mix on low until blended.
  3. Add blue spirulina and blend well.
  4. Place in a bowl and add your favorite toppings.
